A Happy Ending!

Woody continues to live a life of fun and leisure. Here he is after a swim in the lake behind his new house. I didn't know the little bugger was a swimmer because he wouldn't go near our pool. The next foster dog is getting on the puppy bus Thursday (with any luck). His trip has been postponed for weeks due to vacation and bus repairs.

Woody is living in luxury!

My sweet, little velcro foster dog Woody who had been bounced around from his so-called-forever-home to shelter, to foster, to foster and then to me has finally found his forever home. He is living it up in the White Mountains of NH and gets to spend time canoeing (!) and driving around with his new loving owner.

Though my dogs and cats don't seem too heart-broken, Woody will be missed by my family and I. It really hit me one afternoon when I placed four bowls on the counter at meal-time and filled them before realizing I only had three dogs and Woody was gone. I got used to seeing his sweet face and attention grabbing antics and will miss the little guy.
