Woody Has Arrived!

I just picked up Woody after his long journey from Arkansas. He hopped off the Got Orphan's transport bus with his tail wagging and eagerly jumped right into the crate in my car without hesitation. He's a 5 1/2 year old german shepard mix and is much smaller than I anticipated (but then I'm used to my oversized monsters!). He probably weighs 40 something lbs and seems very thin. He has the sweetest personality and the cutest little face and walks very well on the leash. I've taken him back to work with me so he can rest a bit before meeting my pack. Tonight should be interesting!

Woody was an owner surrender and previously an outside only dog. He was injured by another dog and has some scarring on his side and leg but despite everything he's super friendly and seems to crave attention.

This Blog is for the Dogs

We are in the process of becoming a temporary foster home for homeless dogs who otherwise don't stand a chance of survival in over-crowded kill shelters. This is the spot where I'll post pictures and information for prospective adopters to learn about the day to day life as our foster settles into our fur-filled home.

Our first foster dog will be arriving from Arkansas any day and I'll update the blog then. For now, if you're in the NH area and looking for a new friend check out these cute faces at the Nashua Humane Society .
